I’m creating an art exhibition called Chain of Command to celebrate the power, passion and freedom of women who ride. Through this exhibition, I want to showcase the incredible stories and artistry of female cyclists.

I’m inviting women who ride and artists who love bikes to be part of this project. Help spark a conversation, break barriers, and inspire more women to ride.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Be photographed: Share your passion for cycling and feature in a series of portraits that tell your story. Sessions will be held in Melbourne's inner north across February and March 2026. I'll be in touch with the specifics once you submit your EOI.
  • Submit your art: If you're a female artist who creates bike-inspired art, whether it’s painting, photography, sculpture, or mixed media, I’d love to include your work. Location and timing of the exhibition TBA.

Exhibition details:

I am currently exploring exhibition locations and hoping to have a timeline and more details locked in shortly. If you have any questions please email me via jaydeepitcaithly@gmail.com

A little bit about myself:

I’m a self-taught artist based in Melbourne/Naarm and a passionate bike enthusiast. My love for cycling was born in the deep dark depths of the first COVID lockdown, a time when two wheels became my escape and my empowerment.

This journey has led me to create a bike-themed art exhibition, also inspired by the incredible story of movement alchemist Nouran Salah, which I discovered while watching 'The Engine Inside' documentary. Her work empowering women through cycling struck a chord with me, and I knew I wanted to emulate that same sense of freedom and strength through my art.

With this exhibition, my goal is simple: to celebrate women, bikes, and the powerful movement they create together. I hope it inspires other females to ride, create, and reclaim their space in life.
